Are you a geography lover or a nature lover?
When you travel to Iceland, you fall in love with both. This country is a living textbook of Earth’s most incredible forces—glaciers, volcanoes, black sand beaches, steaming hot springs, and waterfalls thundering down cliffs carved by time. I love waterfalls, they are wonders of the world and on this trip, every 10km is a waterfall.
This isn’t just a trip. It’s an awakening.
And the best way to experience it? By road. And if you are lucky, you might even see the northern lights.

The Southern Route: A Road Trip Like No Other 🚗✨
We didn’t do the full Golden Circle, but the Southern Route was an adventure on its own.
✅ Reykjavík to Vik: A journey through dramatic landscapes, stopping at Seljalandsfoss, the waterfall you can walk behind, and Skogafoss, Towering and thunderous, Skógafoss sends mist high into the air—catch a rainbow if you’re lucky..
✅ Solheimajokull Glacier: Strap on crampons and hike through blue ice caves and waterfalls frozen in time. If you want adrenaline, this is it.
✅ Dyrhólaey & Reynisfjara Beach: Stand at the edge of the cliffs, watching waves crash against the iconic basalt columns. The black sand beaches feel otherworldly—like stepping onto another planet.
✅ Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon: A hidden gem, this deep winding canyon looks like something out of a fantasy film. Hike to the top for unreal views.
✅ Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon & Diamond Beach: Icebergs float like sapphire gems, breaking off from the massive Vatnajökull glacier. Just across, Diamond Beach sparkles with crystal-clear chunks of ice against the black sand.
✅ Strokkur Geyser: Iceland is alive beneath your feet. Stand back and watch Strokkur erupt every few minutes, sending boiling water 20-30 meters into the sky.

Things You Can’t Miss
🌋 Katla Ice Cave: A natural wonder where lava meets ice—an actual cave inside a glacier.
🏔 Vatnajökull National Park: The largest glacier in Europe, endless blue ice, dramatic peaks, and endless adventure.

♨️Go to the Blue Lagoon and soak in natural geothermal waters surrounded by mountains, oh you cannot miss this. Yes it is crowded but maybe you only go once and you should..
Pro Tips for Surviving Iceland’s Wild Beauty 🏔️
✅ Pack hiking shoes. You never know what the weather will throw at you.
✅ Sunscreen at all times. One minute, it’s snowing. The next, the sun is glaring like it’s midsummer.
✅ Windcheater—non-negotiable. Because life is precious, and Icelandic winds don’t play around. 😂
✅ Respect the land. Iceland’s beauty is fragile. Don’t step off the marked paths, don’t chase the puffins, and don’t take lava rocks home—unless you want a Viking curse.✅ Before leaving, get the Northern Lights Macarons. One of the best you’ll ever have—light, delicate, with flavors as magical as the skies they’re named after.
